Alright guys,
This page is about my favorite ab program out there, so I’ll get right to the point. I’ve been at the gym training hard for probably 12 solid years. During those years, I’ve only had six pack abs for the last 2. The question is why? Most people assume if you live at the gym like I used to, you’d have the perfect body. Not so. Even the education I received as a personal trainer was good, but it was mostly technical information focused on body metrics, not about strategic lifestyle shortcuts. Nine years went by before I discovered the way to bring my abs out. I WISH I had the internet at my disposal back then, but AOL wasn’t the search engine that Google is today.
At this point, I was spending 5 days a week at the gym.
Flash forward to 3 years ago. I put on some size, but still no abs. Long story made short… then I met Katya, and I wanted to really impress her. I was at a strong point with my training, but still wasn’t as lean as I would like to be.
Meeting her was a real turning point. Not only did she teach things I never knew about cleaning up my diet, but as we dated, she gave me the inspiration to stay consistent with saying no to the foods making me look bulky (as you can see in this next picture). I had great results initially but I started freaking out (I never told her haha) because watching what I ate 24/7 was a bit overwhelming, and my cravings were wearing me down.
That’s when I started looking online for a solution. I found plenty of general articles, but nothing that gave a solid understanding and a plan to put in motion. Soon after a friend told me about an ebook that a friend of his was using and getting awesome results from. I trusted my friend and I knew the guy who he was talking about. That guy had a super lean physique. I was interested. The ebook was called The Truth About Abs, by Mike Geary.
I’ve read alot of books out there, that wasted my time over-exlpaining technical details that I didn’t care about. I’ve never been one for %’s or measurements. The only thing that really mattered to me, was the mirror. It was the ultimate judge. No one else can make you feel good about yourself, it’s an internal click that has to happen.
This was my physique before I met Katya.
So I do my research on the author first, before I even consider buying anything. Mike is a respected author of several books and has been published in quite a few reputable magazines. It was later I found out The Truth About Abs was is the highest selling ebook of it’s class for years running now. Pretty impressive.
I found out he’s was a personal trainer like me, but was a nutritionist as well. He authored several other books about fitness, but it didn’t matter to me, I was only interested in rock hard abs. Overall, he seemed like a stand up guy who wanted to share his success story and expertise. I also read a lot of positive customer service feedback! I used to work in customer service, so that was another plus.
My First Impression ordering the program.
The website definitely sounded hyped up and markety. But I read further about the five biggest myths about getting ripped abs. It all made total sense. Now there’s a video explaining the same thing. More entertaining though. I paid $49 bucks for it then (it came with a 30 day no questions guarantee, so why not?), and dove right in when it arrived. Immediately, the biggest key factor I learned about getting sixpack abs, was not about the exercises, it was about the nutrition factor! It’s what you eat that really counts. Well, I knew that already, but Mike had a very compelling way of putting it. It was starting to really sink in.
When i say nutrition, I mean his diet and meal suggestions are strategically combined with the workouts – and not just typical ab exercises that everyone has done already. He also explains about the right dose of cardio. You don’t need to train to run a marathon just to be as lean as a runner. Besides, who has the time these days? After reading Truth About Six Pack Abs, I realized 30 to 45 minutes at the gym, 2 to 3 times a week is all you need.
So what’s in the program?
It starts off by educating you about the muscles and areas of the abdomen, your mid section. It’s actually surprisingly interesting and important to learn so you know which muscles to train for results, and which are ab unnecessary waste of energy and effort.
The main arena of this book is about 20 or so very effective ab exercises. There’s plenty of illustrations and photos so you’ll know what to do and what not to. Some of these were even new to me. And if you combine this program with my Ultimate Ab Routine, your results will be doubled.
BTW here’s what I looked like after using Truth About Abs.
One of the things that I was hesitant to read was his take on which foods to eat. I suspected he was going to say zero carbs, no fat, no sugar and every other unrealistic DON’T EAT THIS or THAT approach. To my surprise, it was a very balance approach to meals. It was less about what you shouldn’t eat, and more about WHEN to eat. And his suggestions work, after getting my abs, I was scared to eat anything sweet, but if you do it the right way, you can have your cake and eat it too.
Another important part in Mike Geary’s book is cardio training. If you are doing long sessions of cardio, you are actually reducing your chances of speeding up the six pack process. Mike explains what types of cardio you really need to do and more importantly, WHEN you should do them.
This program teaches the smartest approach to six pack abs.
It’s actually for anyone who just needs to lose weight in general or just lose their belly. Using it for that goal is SUPER easy. The way it’s written is for those wanting ripped six packs but for instance, ladies will benefit from the program as well – Katya was initially skeptical, as most muscle programs don’t keep health in mind, only shortcuts. But after reading it, she said the information is smart and healthy.
Mike gives a good value by including a lot of bonus ebooks that work hand in hand with the ab program. My advice is to take your time reading through them, but make sure you do. It’s great education and shouldn’t be missed. If you feel overloaded, just focus on the ab program – especially the 2nd part about stability ball workouts. They burn so good.
Here’s a animated image of my progression. In six weeks, from Feb 09 to the beginning of April 09, I dropped tons of stubborn bulky weight, and tightened up my abs using this program.
I will say this, if you’re not committed to adjusting your food habits, not ready for a bit of intense ab workouts (which shouldn’t be a problem for you if you already use my ab routine), then you may want to pass. No sense in spending money needlessly. But if you are ready and serious about improving your physique, get this program. This program will give you results by working for them, in the right way. It’s not a simple gadget that will end up collecting dust on your shelf. You must be willing to invest in yourself, then the Truth About Abs is the approach for you.
The truth about abs program is worth every cent of $39.95 (which is 10 bucks less than I paid). This isn’t a get results instantly book filled with BS promises. You have to be willing to read it once or twice, then put it into action. Again, it’s not about daily workouts. Unless you are a competitive bodybuilder, you don’t need to workout that much anyway. It just takes 2 to 3 times a week for 30 to 45 minutes each, and I promise you’ll get abs like mine. And if you follow the whole 8 week course in combination with my ab routine, you will get abs 2 weeks faster than Mike says. That’s how awesome they work together.
In conclusion…
So if you’ve been following my ultimate ab routine, and want to get your abs as lean as mine are now, I recommend Truth About Abs big time. It enhanced the way I trained, tightened my mid section, and brought out my abs like I never had before. It rocks, plain and simple.
Because I haven’t finished putting together my own program, I want you guys to know what I consider to be the next best information out there. Again, the Truth About Six Pack Abs is currently the highest sold abdominal training ebook on the Internet. Its reputation speaks for itself. If you trust my advice, you will order this book. And if you think I might be biased because I’ll make a few bucks off your order, trust me, it’s not worth my reputation as a vitality advocate. If there were a better, more condensed “to-the-point” program out there, I would recommend it instead.
When I bought it, there was a 30 day guarantee, now it comes with a 60 week money-back-guarantee. So if you end up not liking it, no problem. You can get a refund without any issues. I know because a friend of mine needed the money and said he was a quick 1-2-3 process. Anyway point is, it’s risk-free to try. Trust me, it’s worth it.
I wish you the best in your quest for ripped abs!
